Food Plant: Cirsium arvense (Creeping Thistle), possibly other Cirsium spp.

Notes: Initially mine the rosette leaves before entering and mining the stem. Pupate in soil. Common thoughout England, Wales and Ireland. Occasionally taken in Scotland. Found on rough ground, grasslands edges of roads, woodland.
