Mine: Univoltine: early summer.

Pupa: Outside the mine in the cut out case

Notes: A gallery along the edge of the leaf leading to a circular blotch, from which a case is cut leaving a round hole - the larva is shown in the pupal disc, in increasing detail. (Formerly called Rhynchaenus (Orchestes) avellanae).
