Food Plant: Betula spp., including B.nana

Egg: laid on the leaf

Mine: July-September

Notes: Makes similar mines to those of P.betulae but this species is bivoltine whereas P.loganella is univoltine. Found in northerly districts in the UK in woodland, moors and hillsides, where birch is plentiful.
