Plant: Alisma plantago-aquatica (Water-plantain) Mine: Summer Notes: Makes long mines which are blotch like with small galleries formed when the larvae are young. The blotches turn brown (as shown). A larva is shown in the mine. Little frass is in the mine. The larvae swap leaves and wander around on the leaf surface until they can find a suitable entry point. Pupation is external to the leaf.
