a narrow gallery broadens into a blotch

 

Food Plant: Rubus idaeus (Raspberry). Also Filipendula ulmaria (Meadowsweet), Fragaria vesca (Wild Strawberry), Fragaria x. ananassa (Garden strawberry), Potentilla anserina (Silverweed), Potentilla reptans (Creeping Cinquefoil) and Sanguisorba minor (Salad Burnet).  

Mine: Bivoltine: early summer & early autumn

Notes: A narrow upper surface gallery to start, then broadening and zigzagging to create a false blotch
