Food Plant: Origanum vulgare (Wild Marjoram) Mine: early and late Summer Notes: The initial mine is a small spiral. The mine then follows the edge of the leaf and a dark blotch is formed (as shown). Pupation is within the mine and the puparium is yellowish. Widespread, at least in the south of the UK. The upper and lower leaf surfaces are shown - note the pupa protruding (bottom photo, to the left of the blotch mine).
