Food Plant: Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore) only.

Mine: Univoltine: early summer.

Notes: A large, upper surface marginal blotch, usually going brown and with an excised hole, where the pupal disc drops off before leaf fall, which is characteristic of Heterarthrus species. A widespread miner of Sycamore. Previously a misidentification as Heterarthrus aceris Liston et al (2019). The left leaf has lost the pupal disc; the middle leaf has the disc( just formed) and the right leaf still has a larva feeding.
