Pupa: Inside mine in a disc shaped cocoon (as shown).

Notes: A large blotch that normally starts at the margin, where some or much frass is ejected. Local and uncommon. Under-recorded due to being masked by the more common Fenusa dohrnii. H.vagans mines are generally single whereas F.dohrnii can be multiple. Unusually two larvae have mined the same leaf and are making pupal discs.
