Food Plant: Centaurea nigra (Common Knapweed), C.scabiosa (Greater Knapweed)

Notes: The larva forms blotch mines, usually on the leaf underside. It feeds until September then recommences feeding after the winter. It pupates in the soil or amongst leaf litter forming a silk cocoon. A local and scarce moth in nthe South of Emgland. A vacated mine is shown on Centaurea nigra (Common Knapweed)
