Notes: The initial mine is in part of the layers of a leaf, with black or brownish frass. When it leaves this mine it may window feed but often it makes full depth shorter mines (similar to those of Scrobipalpa salicorniae).It may also mine stems. The larva overwinters. The initial mines are shown, with larva.
