Food Plant: Tilia (Lime); in Europe Acer platanoides (Norway Maple)

Egg: Underside of leaf

Mine: July - August (bivoltine in the south in some years)

Notes: A narrow mine almost filled with black frass, usually following leaf-vein (as shown). The cocoon is formed either on the trunk of the tree or in leaf litter. The larva is shown.
