Food Plant: Aster Tripolium (Sea Aster)

Notes: The larva feeds on the seeds, in a case which is hidden in the pappus (as shown), during September and October. It then leaves the plant during the wnter. The case is dark brown, trivalved and around 6mm long. The mo is 80-90°. A locally common species on salt marshes around the southern and eastern coasts
