Food Plant: Rhododendron spp. Egg: Lower surface of the leaf Mine: May-June, August-September Pupa: In a cocoon under a white membrane; underside of leaf. Notes: Initially a gallery leading to a blotch. Later rolls the tips of leaves down to form a cone (on left); usually two successive cones. Mine shown on a garden Azalea variant.
