Notes: Feeds on the seeds and then later moves to the stem to pupate, where it fixes itself (as shown). The case is 7-8mm long, being narrow, tubular and trivalved. Found in the Norfolk Broads, the coastal marshes of Suffolk and also in Co.Durham and East Sussex and Kent. Langdon (2024) discovered R.crispus as another host for this species. Larval cases fixed for pupation on old stems ofRumex crispus in spring - three on the left hand stem, and two on the right.
