Food Plant: Rumex hydrolapathum (Water Dock), R.crispus (Curled Dock)

Found in the Norfolk Broads, the coastal marshes of Suffolk and also in Co.Durham and East Sussex and Kent. Langdon (2024) discovered R.crispus as another host for this species. Larval cases feeding on Rumex crispus in summer. Larvae can be hard to find in the dense seedheads of this hostplant, but can occur at very high densities - 5 are visible here.
