Food Plant: Rumex hydrolapathum (Water Dock), R.crispus (Curled Dock)

Egg: on the flower

Mine: August - June

Notes: Feeds on the seeds (as shown) and then later moves to the stem to pupate, where it fixes itself. The case is 7-8mm long, being narrow, tubular and trivalved. Found in the Norfolk Broads, the coastal marshes of Suffolk and also in Co.Durham
