Food Plant: Pinus sp. Mine: December - April Pupa: In a white cocoon on the ground. The pupa is initially green, then darkens as it matures. Notes: The larva feeds within the needle from the tip to base and exits close to the base. On emergence the larva is a green-blue colour, with a faint dorsal line (as shown). The larvae are resting prior to pupation and starting to spin cocoons.
