Notes: Makes a variable width broad flat transparent mine which may occupy the whole leaf. The sparse frass is greyish and scattered. The larva may mine both upwards and downwards in a leaf and readily changes leaves. A widespread species found in grasslands (a habitat is shown), heaths and bogs
