Food Plant: Betula (Birch)

Notes: The largest and commonest of the Eriocraniidae. The mine starts at or near the leaf edge and then widens into a blotch. A developing mine is shown. (Note the larva has lost the dark initial sclerotizations of the head and prothorax).
