Egg: On leaf-stalk in summer; on samara in spring

Notes: In June mines the wing of a samara, mining into the seed with a short gallery. The cocoon is formed on the samara, which often falls to the ground. The cocoon is formed on the samara, which often falls to the gorund. The second generation mine the petiole initially then the flower bud and forms a cocoon on this. Both generations may form cocoons on the tree trunk.
