Food Plant: Picea abies (Norway Spruce), Picea sitchensis (Sikta Spruce) Mine: August-April Notes: Initially mines the terminal leaves of side shoots then feeds in a spinning of bunched leaves, entangled with brown silk and frass (as shown). The greenish-white colour indicates the presence of a larva. The larva leaves this spinning in the spring (which discolours and falls off) and pupates in a cocoon spun in leaf litter.
