Food Plant: Lathyrus sylvestris (Narrow leaved Everlasting Pea) Egg: Upperside of leaf Mine: May; July-August Notes: A very local mainly coastal species, tending to be confined to cliffs and undercliffs. A blotch mine is formed with a small area of browning of the leaf around the egg. A close up of the old egg shell in the centre of the mine, surrounded by an area of darker brownish discolouration as is typical for this species.
