Notes: Makes distinctive forked mines on the upper leaf surface (as shown on the left with Macrosaccus robiniella mine on the right) after initially forming a mine on the lower surface. The mine always includes the midrib. An accidental import form N.America. First found near Milan in 1970. It has quickly spread through Europe from France to the Ukraine
