Food Plant: Echium vulgare (Viper's Bugloss)

Egg: on the flowers

Mine: August-October

Notes: Feeds and pupates inside the stem and gives liitle evidence of doing so. Overwinters in as a prepupa, within a cocoon. May be common where the foodplant occurs and stems collected during the winter may produce many adult moths.
